How do I send from my own domain?
When you first created your account we authorised your email address, but it might be that you want to send from somewhere else, like hello@your-domain.com.
To make this happen we need to authorise your domain.
- Visit the team settings page and scroll to the section that says "Add domain"
- Type in the domain you wish to send from. So if you want to send from hello@your-domain.com, enter your-domain.com. You should not include the www bit of your domain.
- Once the domain is added, you will see a new section at the bottom of the page. This provides details of what you need to update with your domain registrar.
Ever DNS registrar is a bit different, but in general, these are the steps you need to go through to update your DNS:
Find a page where you can update the domains DNS
Look for a button that says add a record, or something similar
You need to add two records the first has a type of TXT, and is the record that allows us to send emails on your behalf.
The second is a CNAME record. This ensure that if an email bounces, we find out and can therefore let you know.
Once you're done, return to the team settings page and click verify next to your domain.
