How to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Noise Monkey

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of authentication in addition to your password. Follow these steps to enable MFA:

Step 1: Log In to Your Account

  1. Visit the [Your SaaS Name] login page: [Insert Login URL].
  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Log In.

Step 2: Access Your Security Settings

  1. After logging in, navigate to your Account Settings.
    • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner.
    • Select Security from the dropdown menu or navigate to the Security Settings tab.

Step 3: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication

  1. In the Security Settings section, locate the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) option.
  2. Click on the Enable MFA button to start the setup process.

Step 4: Scan the QR Code with an Authenticator App

  1. You will see a QR code displayed on the screen. This code contains the information needed to link your account to an authenticator app.
  2. Open your preferred authenticator app on your mobile device (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator).
  3. Tap the option to Add an Account or Scan QR Code within your authenticator app.
  4. Use your device to scan the QR code displayed on the [Your SaaS Name] website.

Step 5: Verify Your Authentication Code

  1. After scanning the QR code, the authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code into the input field on the [Your SaaS Name] website.
  3. Click Verify to complete the setup process.

Step 6: Backup Your Recovery Codes

  1. Once MFA is successfully enabled, you will receive a set of recovery codes.
  2. Important: Save these recovery codes in a safe place. You can use them to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.
    • You can download the codes as a file or copy them to a secure location.

Step 7: MFA Is Now Enabled

  1. After enabling MFA, you’ll be required to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app each time you log in, in addition to your password.
  2. If you log in from a new or untrusted device, you will also need to verify using your MFA code.
